Meet Kamini Ramani

She grew up in Bombay, India, and holds a Master’s in English Literature from Yale University and a Master’s in Communication Research from Stanford University. She lives in San Francisco.

Throughout her career, Kamini noticed a pattern among the most successful women leaders she encountered—particularly those of Indian and Indian American heritage. They led differently. They rose without burning out. They built lives of both professional achievement and personal fulfillment. Their approach wasn’t hustle culture or the anxiety of “lean in.” It was something more holistic, more sustainable, rooted in cultural wisdom passed down through generations.

Lotus Leadership is her effort to codify that wisdom and share it with rising stars everywhere—women or men, of Indian origin or otherwise—who want to compose a life of career success and personal happiness.
